Week Seven
Our Calling to Share
Within the pages that follow, we will embark on a journey through the teachings and wisdom found in the Scriptures, diving into the significance of sharing the good news with a world hungry for hope and salvation. These daily devotionals invite you to immerse yourself in the power of sharing the gospel, as we reflect on passages and narratives that show the selfless love, compassion, and redemption at the heart of Christ’s message. In a world filled with doubt and uncertainty, the gospel of Jesus Christ stands as a beacon of light and truth. We will journey through the New Testament to discover the deeper meaning of our calling to share this divine message. Each day, we will meditate on verses and stories that illuminate the profound impact of sharing the gospel. As we embark on the topic of being called to share, let us open our hearts to the revelations that await us. Our calling to share the gospel goes beyond mere words; it is a sacred duty that invites us to be vessels of Christ’s life-changing grace. Through scripture, we will discover that sharing the gospel is not just an act of evangelism but a profound expression of God’s boundless love working through us.
Ministering to children for many years has given me the opportunity to hear from kids who have shared the gospel. Such excitement is on their faces when they say, “Mr. Philip, I told my friend at school about Jesus!” Often, children understand our calling to share more than we do. We allow our inhibitions to interfere with God’s plan, and therefore miss the opportunities right in front of us. We can learn from children. We should have that same excitement to share what God has done in our lives. We should want our friends to know Jesus. Whether the opportunity to share is on the playground, in the lunchroom, at work or in your neighborhood, don’t miss out on the blessing you will receive by embracing your calling to share the good news. When we do, we bring hope to the weary, healing to the broken, and salvation to the lost. So, let us embark on this journey of spiritual growth and be ready to shine the light of Christ through our words, actions, and unwavering commitment to sharing the gospel to the ends of the earth.
