Day 31
The Gift of Christmas
by Bobby Lumpkin
To truly understand the importance and power of Jesus, the Gift of Christmas, you must first understand the separation that sin causes between us and God. It is clear from the following scriptures that "all have sinned" and "the wages of sin is death".

Roman 3:23
...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hallelujah! Jesus, our Savior, came to earth as the free gift of God to offer each of us the opportunity to spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Putting your faith in Jesus alone to forgive your sins is essential to accepting God's gift of salvation. A relationship with Jesus changes your life by transforming your heart. Your thoughts and actions change and you have a desire to become more Christlike. Each day, you will desire a deeper walk with Him and grow spiritually. As you become an ambassador for Christ, you will tell everyone of the faith, hope and joy found only in Jesus.
Jesus will always be my greatest gift!

My prayer for you this Christmas season is that you recognize your sinfulness and the need for forgiveness through accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord. If you are a Christian, remember that your salvation is only the beginning of your spiritual journey. The Lord has great things in store for you as you are obedient to His call in your life!
Questions to Ponder: Have you put your faith in Jesus? If so, are you an ambassador for Christ, telling everyone about the joy you have found in Him?
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the free gift of salvation through Jesus. I want to live for You. Transform my heart and help me to become more Christlike each day. Amen.
